Dr Nitisha Patel

Dr Nitisha Patel is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who specialises in children with eating disorders.

As part of her role as consultant psychiatrist for a national inpatient eating disorder unit, she regularly assesses and treats young people with not only eating disorders, but a range of mental health problems including ADHD, autism and depression. Her work also involves managing the physical healthcare of her patients.

Dr Patel has over 10 years’ experience in the field, and is skilled at working with young people, their families, schools and local authorities.

Dr Patel is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and is on the specialist register for child and adolescent psychiatry. She qualified from Imperial College London with an MBBS degree, and an additional 1st class degree in Medical Sciences with Management. She has a PGCert in Medical Education (Merit) from UCL and is an active teacher for both medical students and resident doctors.
